Now that it's cold outside, we are moving our GracePointe of Sedona's Sunday services of worship/fellowship from the beautiful Posse Grounds Park to a new location. Rick and Carol Gandolfo have graciously offered their studio space to us during these chilly months.
Moving inside, we will practice social distancing. The studio space has a large glass slider that opens up to the patio and Red Rock views.
On warmer mornings, we open up the sliders. After each Sunday service we will also enjoy fellowship with coffee, goodies and conversation.
Please join us in a worship service! We invite all people, locals and those traveling through, believers and non-believers, those new to faith or mature in faith, any and all regardless of who or where you are in your spiritual life. Our services are informal, caring and highly relational. Come to know and feel the love of Christ in a safe small group who care for each other like family. Our worship is blended and includes: a Gathering, Word, Meal and Sending.
Every Sunday 10AM – Blended worship with holy communion followed by 11:00AM – Get Connected-Coffee & Pastries

Our 2020 Advent theme “A Journey Into the Heart of Christmas.” During Advent, the 4 Sundays before Christmas, we long for God to come and heal our brokenness. Much like Lent, we pray, fast and prepare our hearts to receive the Christ Child and give witness to the Light.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
God meets us in the dark.
Longing and dreaming in difficult times as we prepare for the One who comes to save.
Seeing all the stars in our own sky.
The incarnation—God is born!

We confess the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scriptures. We affirm the authority of the Scriptures as the authoritative source and norm, “according to which all doctrines should and must be judged” (Formula of Concord). We accept the ecumenical creeds and the Lutheran Confessions as true witnesses to the Word of God.
We believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to make disciples for Christ. We believe that making disciples — in our congregations, in our communities and nations, and around the world — must be a priority of the Church in the present age.
We affirm the ecumenical creeds and the faithful witness of the Church across time and space. We endorse the form and practices of the universal Church that are consistent with Scripture, particularly the office of the ministry and the tradition of worship under Word and Sacrament. We seek dialogue and fellowship with other Lutheran churches and with faithful Christians of other confessions.
We strive to be a church that is organized to facilitate the ministries of local congregations in a posture of servanthood and a spirit of partnership, through the provision of resources, connections and information.Rev Dona Johnson
LifeGroups: what are LifeGroups?
LifeGroups are small groups of seekers and believers, of no more than 6-8 people, who connect weekly or bi-monthly in homes to discuss topics of faith and life, explore their questions and doubts, study God’s Word and pray and care for one another.
Because of their small size, Life Groups reflect the shared intimacy of expressed in early house churches, fostering genuine connections while building up the Body of Christ.

Community Prayer Gathering
Saturday Oct 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Posse Ground Park, Sedona
Gather with others in our community as we pray with OneHeart for the healing of our nation asking God— we will pray for our elections, government leaders, truthfulness, judicial system, unity, healing from COVID, faith communities and Sedona, AZ.
As we face these uncertain times in our nation and the world, we ask you, Lord, to dwell among us. We are comforted by the knowledge that You alone are our Savior and Lord, and the ultimate Master of life. We trust our nation’s election to Your loving care, Lord. Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s citizens and its leaders. Give all of us the wisdom to know what is right, and the courage to do it. Give us Your light and Your truth to guide us in our ways, empower us to do seek your will and love and treat our neighbor as we want to be loved and treated. We pray this in the name of Almighty God!
