To share God’s love, grace life-to-life
and take His Word into the world.
GracePointe of Sedona’s mission start is organic and based upon the early New Testament house church communities described in Acts 2:42-47. We are Christ-centered in our teaching, relationally-focused in our fellowship and mission-driven in our hospitality. We are a praying community who believes in the power of prayer to change lives.
Although Sedona is a small town with 10,500 residents, it is considered a small urban center. We have people from all walks of life, from all over the U.S. Because of its natural beauty and its close proximity to the Grand Canyon, Sedona has over 2 million tourists annually.
GracePointe of Sedone, a new mission start began three weeks prior to the COVID shutdown Feb 2020. Our current ministry focus includes: worship, outdoor community prayer events, on-the-street evangelism and involvement in human-trafficking which contextually, AZ being a border s problematic.
Sunday. 10 a.m. Blended worship with holy communion followed by 11 a.m. fellowship connection, conversation, coffee & pastries.

We confess the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scriptures. We affirm the authority of the Scriptures as the authoritative source and norm, “according to which all doctrines should and must be judged” (Formula of Concord). We accept the ecumenical creeds and the Lutheran Confessions as true witnesses to the Word of God.
We believe that the mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel and to make disciples for Christ. We believe that making disciples — in our congregations, in our communities and nations, and around the world — must be a priority of the Church in the present age.
We affirm the ecumenical creeds and the faithful witness of the Church across time and space. We endorse the form and practices of the universal Church that are consistent with Scripture, particularly the office of the ministry and the tradition of worship under Word and Sacrament. We seek dialogue and fellowship with other Lutheran churches and with faithful Christians of other confessions.
We strive to be a church that is organized to facilitate the ministries of local congregations in a posture of servanthood and a spirit of partnership, through the provision of resources, connections and information.Rev Dona Johnson

The Lenten season begins Feb 17 with Ash Wednesday!
The Lenten journey is an intentional time where we take inventory of our life with Jesus and our relationships with others.
It’s a time where we reflect, see ourselves through the lens of the cross, acknowledge our mortality/sins/brokenness and how we and the world so desperately need a Savior. This past year especially has been hard on us. I learned this morning in a clergy circle zoom session, that two of our pastor's spouses have died.
Due to Covid-19, we may or may not offer a Lenten Midweek study with DVD on “gods at War.” I will let you know next week.
You may give a financial offering individually or corporately in the following ways: Credit Card, Debit and we also accept gifts of appreciated stock or qualified charitable contributions from an IRA. We are also on the Schwab Donor Advisory Fund.
LifeGroups: what are LifeGroups?
LifeGroups are small groups of seekers and believers, of no more than 6-8 people, who connect weekly or bi-monthly in homes to discuss topics of faith and life, explore their questions and doubts, study God’s Word and pray and care for one another.
Because of their small size, Life Groups reflect the shared intimacy of expressed in early house churches, fostering genuine connections while building up the Body of Christ.

Community Prayer Gathering
Saturday Oct 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Posse Ground Park, Sedona
Gather with others in our community as we pray with OneHeart for the healing of our nation asking God— we will pray for our elections, government leaders, truthfulness, judicial system, unity, healing from COVID, faith communities and Sedona, AZ.
As we face these uncertain times in our nation and the world, we ask you, Lord, to dwell among us. We are comforted by the knowledge that You alone are our Savior and Lord, and the ultimate Master of life. We trust our nation’s election to Your loving care, Lord. Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s citizens and its leaders. Give all of us the wisdom to know what is right, and the courage to do it. Give us Your light and Your truth to guide us in our ways, empower us to do seek your will and love and treat our neighbor as we want to be loved and treated. We pray this in the name of Almighty God!
